How much does it cost?
The RTR kit retails for about $219.00. If you do a little searching you could find it for about $199.99. They also have the kit that just comes with the chassis only for about $154.99. If you have the money you can get the Factory TC3 for about $279.99, which also only comes with the chassis and comes with many hop ups.
Do you have to put it together?
Depends on what kit you get. If you get the RTR kit that come ready to run and all you have to buy is a battery and charger and you are ready to go. If you get the Factory or the non RTR one you will have to build this yourself and buy all the electronics and remote to make it run.
Should anything be upgraded first?
The TC3 runs really good out of the box. Just get some ABS (PVC) tires and a 27 turn motor and you're ready to go.
If I want to grip race my TC3 will it be able to do so?
Yes. The TC3 is a very good touring sedan. You can go from drifting to the races with no problems.
Will I be able to get parts for my TC3 at my local hobby shop?
That is the big plus with the TC3 it has a huge aftermarket Following. You should be able to find any parts you need at your local hobby shop for parts. That is the main reason I picked the TC3.
Is there any problems that I might face with the TC3?
Yes there are some problems that I have had with my TC3. The biggest one is the pin holding the wheel onto the suspension arm tends to slide out of place. I have tried to tighten the allen screw that is supposed to hold it but that doesn't help any. What you can do is dremel a little flat spot on the pin so you can tighten the screw onto that. Also always run your car with a body. If you hit the back of your car to a curb or anything the suspension arms tend to brake easy.
