At last www.D1RC.eu is up and running with some substantial content on there, albeit looking like a bit of a construction site here and there. Using the Wordpress software rather than me having to manually code every single character in HTML should save me time and ultimately generate less errors than were present on this D1RC.co.uk site meaning that (hopefully) things should be up-to-date there.

I am not going to be updating this site anymore as I will just continue to post everything over there but I will keep this site up as an archive of the past so that no information will be lost. After, it's still a nice place to look around. Anyway, go visit www.D1RC.eu and take a look around because that's going to be your new home now.

Well, Rounds 3 and 4 have just passed and luckily we managed to fit them in around the endless rain that we've been having. The track was under inches of water on Saturday evening but with the help from everyone it was swept off and it seems that a good time was had by all. Look out for the event reviews up on this site soon.

After a few months of little updating on this site, I've managed to finally get everything current so enjoy it while it lasts. All the information regarding the season's changes etc. has all been put up across the 'Series' section of this site so go have a look if you've been affected by it all. As you may have seen on the Forum, Round 2 was cancelled due to the recent bad weather and has now been rearranged for August 11th. Also, the report for Round 1 will be up soon with all the results and scores obtained by all. Following the recent AGM at the D1RC '07 Shakedown event, a few issues were raised and thankfully resolved regarding the construction rules and regulations. Three main changes have been made to the rules being that:

• Motor limit has been reduced to 18T to allow the various motors that have been introduced into the market recently, most significantly those that have been branded with a 'Drift' labelling.
• Bodyshells can now represent 'Front-engined-front-wheel-drive' and 'Mid-engined-rear-wheel-drift' layout cars as well as 'Front-engined-rear-wheel-drive' and 'All-wheel-drive' ones to give drifters more variety.
• The new HPI T-Drift #4406 tyre is now okay'ed for use in the D1RC UK Drift Series which now means that there are two tyres available to choose from. After testing, the performance has been decided similar enough to that of the Yokomo Single Ring #ZR-DR02 tyre to conclude that not one tyre will proove significantly better than the other.

D1RC have recently gained sponsorship from Mirage Racing, the official distributor of products from such companies as HPI, Hot Bodies, XRAY, Team Orion, Nosram, HUDY and many more. They have agreed to supply D1RC with a tyre suitable for use in the D1RC UK Drift Series for entrants at a reduced cost. This will proove to be a big step forward for UK Drifting.

Mirage Racing

D1RC have recently gained sponsorship from graphics design and printing company, H&L Graphics based in Sheerness, Kent. They are well known for they vehicle graphics and especially for the ever-so famous Sumo Power 350Z drift car graphics. They have kindly offered their services and will be producing all of the stickers that you will need for the D1RC Series such as the sun visors, race numbers etc. They can also print your R/C car graphics just like they did for D1RC entrant, Brad Hurr, with his Sumo Power 350Z R/C replica. For a good price they can print them in many ways, sizes and forms so why not give their website a visit and who knows... maybe you'll be able to sport that new graphics scheme you planned on your next shell after all.
