Because I have to post the passes to you, all completed entry forms for this weekend (rounds (3&4) must be received by D1RC with cheque payment by Saturday 14th July. Any later - they go in the bin, no exceptions!
Please note that these rounds are held on good but ordinary tarmac surface which will not give the same level of traction as R/C circuit and will not be as flat. Add a little ride height and keep the springs soft.
There will not be timing equipment for Time Attack so the '3 lap' on a stop watch method will be used, as in 2006.
A race report with photographs will be submitted to Radio Race Car International magazine, as usual. Keep those cars clean and ensure you have a RRCi decal prominent!
You should arrive at the JAE as early as possible to gain the longest practice and report firstly to Drift Control to register and collect items for the day. The Drift circuit opens for registered drivers only to practice following the driver's briefing. Note that we will operate a realistic one car round the track at a time policy, as previously employed during practice - One standing start 'lap' then return to the queue for the next.
All sunstrips must be fitted to the top of your screen, or directly below any existing strips. Your entry number should be placed below the strip to the right side of the screen (see decal placement photos for reference).
Remember - your car is your car. If someone wants to try drifting, direct them to the D1RC website! This will be a long and strenuous weekend for your cars so please drive sensibly and ensure you have a full set of spares your car with you - and a second backup chassis if you have one. Power should be available in the pits complex but, if you have a 12v charger, bring it in case!
Food & Drink: I'll bring along a medium sized kettle BBQ for everyone's use. Just bring along some grub to cook/eat and a small bag of charcoal - enough to look after your own needs. I'll also have a small burner and kettle you can use for teas/coffees - just bring what you need for hot drinks. It'll be cheaper and more convenient than buying fast food from the vendors.
Please use any of the on-line free 'how to get there' sites and key the post code: PE2 6XE.
