I own a pair of the hardcase 5200MAH 2C 30C lipo's from hobbyking. They are excelent for the price! The only problem I had with them was with the HUGE 8awg wire, it was a censored.gif to solder a deans plug onto. The wires come out from the top of the pack (awkward for some cars) But they have a LOT of punch, last forever, and have been wonderful batteries! I get 40-45 minute run times on a single charge. (up from barely 28 minutes on my 4600mAh Venom nimh

To solder the plugs you can either cut most of the wire away and solder whats left, or the better way:
expose ONE WIRE AT A TIME to avoid shorts.
Use a massive amount of solder on the exposed wire, until it is completely saturated with solder. Let it cool and use a dremmel cutting wheel to cut a notch into the front of the wire. Slip the connector from the deans plug into the notch you just cut, and apply heat to melt solder onto plug from both sides! This creates a very strong very low resistance connection.

It's a lot of work, but for the price it is worth it.

Good to hear just bought a 5000mah hardcase.
Nice solderring trick too. seems like it would be nice and neat.

Yep great batteries.

I've been running various Turnigys for a fair while now and they're good batteries.
Decent punch, last well and seem as good quality wise (if not better) than many batteries costing 10x the amount.

I have read of a few people receiving packs with 1 dead cell, Hobbyking do exchange these batteries but to be honest by the time you have factored in postage it's just a cheap to bin it and just buy another pack.

Rumour is they're bringing out some 45C discharge and 5C charge rate packs later this year.
15min charging FTW!!!!111111

As long as you can find a charger man enough for the job that is.

Cheers
Mark
