I bought this on ebay, but now i can't figure out what chassis. I looked all over the web but couldn't find anything that looks like it . Any got any ideas?

looks like a ssg
HypeRevAE86
looks like a SD with a Rayspeed conversion chassis. Nice!

That is a Yokomo MR-4TC SD Special. Its mainly called a Yokomo SD. Its probably my favorite drift chassis. I own 2(SSG Vesions) and i love them! You bought a nice chassis bro. It looks CLEAN! there is a yokomo Discussion fourm if you have any questions.

A SSG is a SD, but with silver carbon Fiber instead of black. wink.gif

I belive that is a regular SD. A rayspeed upper deck looks like this:

Cool, now anyone knows where i could by another ray-speed bottom chassis. It was pretty clean when bought it but now it a little scratch up.

a regular SD chassis is easy to find on ebay. A few ebay stores always have them. If you are looking for a Rayspeed, i'd have to say good luck. Its hard to find them, only on ebay if someone is selling it or on other fourms.

i took a closer look and the chassis is not ssg. SSG chassis has servo mounted differently. the bottom screw position looks almost like the CM.
rcamature
This is the closest chassis i could find that looks almost like the one i got but some of the screw position does not match.

if you take the above chassis form and the the below chassis screw position then you would get my chassis. I hope this is not too confusing. I still can't find a replacement chassis for my car. Would a drift master chassis work? since the it has the same servo position?

Hey!

Cant believe PE666 not jumped on to this one LOL

As nicklosi said the Rayspeed is different I have one set up for drifting, if your after a new chassis and have trouble locating one try

http://www.fibre-lyte.co.uk/

they are a british company who mate replacement parts, click on the picture to the right of the screen with the buggy and that will take you to the RC section, as you can see they do loads of stuff, click on the yokomo section and there is two bits of interest MR4-TC SD and MR4-TC SD RAYSPEED.

I hope this may be of help to you and if your after the rayspeed manual try this : http://s195302033.onlinehome.us/CX/Man/YokVeh6.pdf

or google search yokomo rayspeed and its the sixth link down as a PDF .

Good look with the car it does look rather sexy

That aint no Rayspeed, You all FAIL!!!! wink.gif

Its a Yokomo drift package with the most recent version of the Stage 3 CF upgrade, just like my baby!
The top deck is the big give away as the braces from the steering posts are different to the regular SD black top deck, also the servo position is different to a regular SD Black so it has to be a stage 3 upgrade.
Im 99% sure Im right but if you put a pic up of the underside I can tell you what it is for sure.

I just remembered this!!

The pic is a comparison shot I did for my chassis log of all the CF parts from a SD Black VS the CF from a Stage 3 upgrade.
SD Black parts are on the left and stage 3 parts on the right.

Ive spent a insane amount of time this last four years developing my Yoke to the stage its at, the plus point is Im getting quite good at knowing what bits can be swapped and changed between chassis.
I discovered this little gem of info a few years back when I was making the change from a Tub chassis to a Cf Deck set-up, thought Id share before you all go getting the credit cards and paypal accounts warmed up!!

A Rayspeed lower Deck will only take a Rayspeed top deck, the Rayspeed top deck will not fit any other Yokomo lower deck.
Its all down to the Rayspeed's steering posts being mounted (if my memory is working right) slightly further forward than any of the Yokomo chassis.
So you probably can bolt up a Rayspeed top deck with a Yoke lower (or visa versa) but the screw holes for the steering wont line up.
As for the motor mount holes lining up Ive no fookin idea at all! All I do know is the Rayspeed motor mount is different to the Yoke item, Id be keen to find out though!

I only wish I had more time on my hands to write more Faq's and Guides on Yoke's, maybe one day...........

......fat chance!!! rolleyes.gif

How much do the rayspeed cf conversion costs?

The Rayspeeds have come up on Ebay.co.uk a few times and brand new have been going for about 50.00gbp

I have found the CGM conversion for sale if any one is interested follow the link:
