Well as you would of seen in body detailing i was after a set of the Yokomo Yukes Impreza Sticker set and yes i know this car has been done before.But back to the subject Ive brought a set of stickers from MRCOWSSAYS and they are now on there way to the apple isle from the states and as you would of read in the heading there going on the new HPI Prova Impreza which is on is way to my lhs from there suppliers. so this is what i have so far.

The Shell: HPI PROVA IMPREZA 200mm

want to be able to fit the deep dish wheels only problem is i dont know how much offset i can have can some one help me out please [-o< .

The Colour: Parma Faspearl orange#40302 for the main body and the roof and bonnet will be FasBlack#40001 as i dont like the orange in the tamiya range

The Stickers: YOKOMO YUKES IMPREZA

These are the stickers i brought from MRCOWSSAYS they are the 3 sheets standing up as the car comes with it own lights and things like that.

Lights: The light buckets will be donered from my old anodized champane gold tamiya wrx as she is pretty well bashed also ive sent a diagram of the LED set up i want to SD HOBBY but no luck so far on a reply

The Accessorys: The Wing, Mirrors, Wipers and Intercoolers will be donered from my anodized chamepane gold tamiya 2007 impreza to.


The Wheels: Now thats were im stuck and need some help id like to put the HPI WORK XSA

6mm up front and 9mm down back but dont know if they will be flush which is what i want or stick out which i dont want. The chassi i use is a YOKOMO MR-4TC SD CM Drift Package chassi so i dont know how big i can go :-k HELP ME PLEASE [-o<

So that is the new project thats under way i just need help with the offset thats what im stuck on at the moment so any help with the offset is muchly apprecaited.

I've always wondered that too.
How do you get it just right without trying lots of different offsets?

Dude. Why dont you scan those decals and put them in the decal depot?

It looks as though HPI have used wheels on their demonstration photos with large offsets. The wheels they are using are TE37s which they make in 0mm, 3mm and 6mm offset so it looks to me as though they have used 3mm up front and 6mm at the rear. However, if you want a definite answer, why not go e-mail HPI and ask.

hpi s1 use 6mm and 9mm they make it flush i use it on my hpi sti too and looks and sits right.

mr2sd: if you have a 200mm Prova Impreza can you measure the width of the front and rear gaurds and post up the width so i can do some working out please.

Ha guys this is the last buy for the project i brought it from ebay

Im going to paint the floor and dash black and the rest white and make a roll cage and paint it white as well to go with it im also going to add lights for the gauges and maybe a shift light.

Heres a photo of the stickers they turned up yesterday ill scan them and post them up here once ive done it.

Im still waiting for my shell to turn up at the LHS my interiour was posted in hong kong on the 2nd of july it left there for here on the 3rd so it shouldnt be far away now. Im going to my LHS on friday to get them to tell there supplier to express the shell to them so i can make a start so in the mean time i thought i would start a poll for wheels after bean from groovy drift forum kindly helped me find which Offset i could use. I was thinking about going with HPI Racing WORK XSA 02C Wheels in White with chrome lip but then i seen SWP's Slidemaster D9 Wheels in chrome and i thought the center of these sprayed white would also look tuff on the car so im now stuck thats why i started the poll so hopefully you guys could help me out [-o< on the disinsion. Please help any help on a chose is good or any ideas for diffrent wheels all together is also good.

Well i just brought the wheels from genki i also got a set of aluminum disc brakes.



Heres the stuff i pulled off my old subaru tamiya gold anodized.

Well my interiour turned up today from Hong Kong it only took five days which is good now i got to about masking up the lexan to start spraying i thought it was hard plastic that i could use brush paints on but i cant so it all has to be done by can GGGGrrrrrrrr :evil: :evil: :evil: O well once its done it will look sweet in the car. I should of brought 2 so i could put one in my Blue Trust 180sx i did awhile back but money wouldnt allow it lol :lol:

i discided to have a bit of a fiddle, sanding and test fit with all the part to the interiour and there is what it looks like not painted cant really do much to it untill i get the shell done so i can do the rollcage to put the interiour in.

Well this is the update i finally got the shell friday woot \:D/ woot \:D/ woot \:D/ woot spent all day sunday working it still have to wait for the paint that cant be expressed. Ive cut the shell the front intake hole for the cooler all the area of the front bar just below the bonnet to put the mesh in. Ive mounted the exhuast and wipers im getting a yukes impreza wing from mrcowssays.

Well heres some shots.






Black for the hood and roof the white is for backing everything as im going to do a white interiour.

Cut out with the extra pieces cut out for mesh and cooler not drilled yet.


Ta daa all drilled and mounted looks tuff with the big offsets thanks bean for the help with working the offsets out.


Well thats it so far im also going to cut the roof vent out and mount it opened was thinking about spraying the black but my orange is going to be at least 2 weeks away so i dont want the maskings leaving the sticker residue behind so ill leave it clear till it turns up and spray it all at once.

I would but i havent got the paint for it as it was suppost to be here last month but the supplier had none so i know have to wait about 6-8 weeks for it thats why ive started the While I Wait Ill Build This Instead project in the WIP THREAD of this forum

i did the bits i could do today with out the body paint so heres some shots.

DIY Intercooler made and sprayed.

This was an attempt at trying to replicate MIG Welding doesn't look to bad but could be better.


Spoiler from Mrcowssays mounts sprayed and all the stickers i could put on it done.



DIY Front Splitter cut out just got to paint it.


Mirrors from the HPI Tune Up Kit painted silver for that drift look.


Tow hooks and exhaust ready i have to paint the tow hooks red and build my DIY Exhaust Glow and run extra LEDs for lights in the interiour once thats done ill insert the exhaust glow led and wrap the exhaust in the carbon sticker.


Test mounted the lights to day also.

REAR

The top blue line around the light is were the HPI body lines go the blue line underneath is were i have to mask up for the 2007 Tamiya Light Buckets.



The gap between the buckets and the shell isn't to bad for different manufactures.


Front
On the front to make up the difference ill just mask up for eye lids which I'm hoping will work.




Same gap difference here to.

I got the paint from my LHS on tuesday so i spent yesterday washing and masking up and today i painted i like this FasKolour Paint its good stuff easy to clean being that its water based and doesnt really have an oder to it i sprayed the shell inside on me work bench well anoth and wind heres the photos.

Yes there is a little bleeding the masks didnt like the airbrush they lifted a little but it will scratch out cause Faskolour stays soft for awhile.

No the bonnet didnt bleed thats were i was drawing on the over spray film with my sharpy for the masking tape.




Looks pretty good dont you think ill take the maskings off later tonight after T and clean up were it bleed

Well guys i pulled the maskings of wednesday night and spent all of yesterday and today applyed the stickers to it also built the rollcage i took some shots of the cage and little bits of the car dont want to give to much away till its got the interiour in it im hoping to get the interiour sprayed, in and finshed buy tomorrow night hope you like what i got so far.





what did i cut a hole in the roof.


O thats why i put the hole in the roof air vent.


The paint peeled a little but stickers will cover i hope.

Ta Da I have a cage




I fixed the gap between the shell and buckets by gluing the shell to the buckets.


Heres some shots of the cage from the outside of the shell and the interiour is just sitting in the shell i had to cut holes for the cage to go though yes the holes a ruff but the interiour is smaller in width for the shell by about 15mm im happy with it hope you like.





I know the bar across the front window shouldnt be there but i think it looks good and the cage was a little weak with out it.
